Gapan City’s Tsinelas Festival 2015

As a proud “Gapanense”, I’m happy to share to you my memories during the 14th celebration of my hometown’s cityhood. Here goes:

Few weeks ago, I was given the schedule of activities for the “Tsinelas Festival” in Gapan City, Nueva Ecija. You see, since Gapan’s cityhood, I was not able to join any activities or even watch the grand parade due to school and work (I studied in Cabanatuan and Manila. Then stayed in Makati afterwards 🙂 ). Hence, I was ecstatic. However, while looking at the schedule, I realized that it’s impossible for me to attend all the activities due to my other appointments here in Manila. Thus, I was only able to attend the last 2 activities – Rock Concert and Grand Parade.

August 24, 2015 – “Rock Concert Event”

As mentioned in my previous blog, the event was made possible by the joint effort of Gapan City’s LGU and Globe Telecom’s TM. Globe’s TM brought entertainment and music for fellow “Gapanense/s” who took part in the said event. I’m sure that those who attended the event will agree with me when I say that everyone had fun singing along to Parokya Ni Edgar’s songs, dancing while listening to the Beat Box performance, and laughing to the hosts funny jokes.

Thank you Globe TM and Gapan LGU for making the event more memorable for my fellow “kababayan/s” 🙂

August 25, 2015 – “Grand Parade”

The biggest
The biggest “tsinelas” I’ve seen. NO KIDDING @_@

Just like any other grand parade, ours consists of street dancing, colorful costumes, music, celebrities, and most importantly, showcasing the city’s footwear industry through floats with gigantic “tsinelas”. Check out some of the photos taken during the event:

My favorite
My favorite “candid” shot of my mom. Lol. 😛

Yours truly :P

Let me take this opportunity to thank Ria Garcia of Gapan LGU for inviting me to the said event. I had fun! 🙂

To my fellow “kababayan/s”/ “Gapanense”, I hope you also had a great time. Also, I would highly appreciate it if you could share here your fondest memories of the recent Tsinelas Festival especially those activities I missed. Lol. 😛
