I have written several wedding blogs before but this is the first time that I’ll be featuring a wedding that was held in my home province. This one’s close to my heart because the couple involved reminds me so much of my high school crazy memories given that both of them are my former class/schoolmates.
So to you my dear readers, as proof of my gratitude for hitting that 1 year blogging mark, let me take you back to Emilson Reguyal and Frances Angeles’ beautiful nuptial held in Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija. Of course, feel free to browse some of our very own talented wedding suppliers in the area ❤️
“You were an unexpected surprise, the defining moment. The collision of stars that slammed into me hard and sent my neat little world plummeting into the ocean. I never expected it to be you, you know? But it is you. It’s all you. And now, there’s no looking back.”
– Beau Taplin (The Defining Moment)
Emil and Frances are no stranger to us (me), especially Emil. He was one of my few male friends during our high school days (Don’t worry, I won’t use this as a chance to bring up his embarrassing experiences back then. lol 😉). On one hand, Frances was already a familiar face since we all go to the same high school.
Let me be frank, ten years ago, we (I) didn’t expect that the two of them would end up as a couple (peace guys 😁). Emil and Frances were not close as you probably think when we were in high school. They have different sets of friends back then. However, it took a turn during our university days. Both of them went to the same school hence the opportunity to be closer was likely.
At that time, I was too preoccupied with other things and was studying away from our province that I was branded as someone who’s “laging huli sa balita”. Imagine my surprise when friends told me that Emil and Frances were dating? I didn’t see it coming (and I’m sure they didn’t too 😁).
Finally, after 10 stronger years, the couple tied the knot last April 2, 2016 in front of family and friends. It was a heartwarming moment proving to anyone that those unexpected turns in life can turn into something pure and ever-lasting.
Take a peek on Emil and Frances’ special day from the perspective of Joel H. Garcia Photography:
The Preparation
Preparation for the biggest event of the couple’s lives were made at Harvest Hotel located at 1179 Pio del Pilar Street, Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija.
The Bride
Frances’ detailed tiered ball gown was designed by Richard De Guzman of Guzman Couture. The bride’s flawless hair and make up was done by Rommel “Bunso” Ramon.
The Groom
Emil looked sophisticated and dapper on a 5 piece suit created by Onèsimus with the assistance of April Ace Ordoñez on his grooming.
The Entourage
The entourage were all looking good during the event. The bridesmaids looked pretty on their pink and mint green gowns created by Richard De Guzman of Guzman Couture while their hair and make up was done by Rommel “Bunso” Ramon.
On one hand, the boys were all dashing on their Onèsimus attire.
The Ceremony
A solemn and heartwarming ceremony was held at the College of the Immaculate Conception Chapel located at Sumacab Este, Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija.
The Reception
The celebration continued at La Benue Event Center located at General Tinio Extension, Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija. The place was transformed into a lovely spring inspired theme by Peach Blossoms Florist Event Stylist in collaboration with Jamsy for the complimenting lights and sounds making the event more romantic as it seemed.
The event was hosted by Ms. Mallory Ferrer-Cosio.
